Those of you who are in the neighborhood of Encinal, TX (we're forty miles north of the border with Mexico, on I-35), be sure to visit our Tamalada tonight. It's a tasty introduction to local foodways, with lots of non-local foodstuffs (like my own Pizzelles, made just the way my grandmother in West Virginia made 'em) thrown in for good measure.
This is also a way of saying: I'll not be posting any more today (except perhaps some fruit). Maybe Flaco Delgado or Rollo Groast will jump in to address the Tempest in the House.
