If you haven't already.
Barba -- I did, but I've been having trouble opening it (apart from the first "run Firefox now"). I've tried changing security settings, everything. But the only way I can open it is reinstalling the damn thing every time. Finally went back and reinstalled the earlier version, which works fine. Just a note... either I'm doing something wrong or the new version has some bugs.

That's weird. You're running what, Windows? There's nothing about it in the "known issues." Did you post a bug report?
ReplyDeleteDamn, lost my long-ish explanation. I tried the FAq and troubleshooting. No luck. I'm running XP.
ReplyDeleteI figure it's that I've downloaded various extensions which are not yet updated and Firefox is trying to run with the extensions. Not sure. I also have a massive security system on the computer via the university and this constantly causes me problems (due to my ignorance of how it all works) when I want to hook up from elsewhere. Could be something there too. I'll have my tech guy take a look.
I donwloaded the Firefox update again from within the older version's "check for downloads" and that worked. I had had trouble when I downloaded the installation program to the desktop and then tried to run it....
