Made a trip to my favorite little bookstore in DC, Bridge Street in Georgetown. Here's what I picked up:
Elias Canetti's masterpiece Crowds and Power
Giorgio Agamben's Remnants of Auschwitz
Adi Ophir's The Order of Evil (a contributor to my forthcoming volume on torture)
Richard Bernstein's The Abuse of Evil
None of this is the kind of stuff I usually read during the semester. I'm looking forward to this.... Recommendations forthcoming.
