Claude Allen and the Evil Twin Defense

This administration keeps getting funnier and funnier (when it's not killier and killier). Sadly, No! and Sisyphus Shrugged parse the developing Evil Twin Defense.

From NPR's All Things Considered, wherein Michale Norris interviews Washington Post reporter Michael Fletcher:

Norris: We should note something, Michael. Apparently Claude Allen has a twin brother?

Fletcher: Yes, he does. He has an identical twin brother who even close friends can’t tell them apart when they see them. And people have seen him and close friends say that Mr. Allen has indicated to them that maybe his brother holds the key to this entire puzzling affair.

Hmm. They're not going to try to float the old 'identical twin' plot, are they? That's almost as bad as the old 'got hit on the head with a coconut and had amnesia' plot, or the one where everyone thinks it's a ghost but it's really the old caretaker in a Captain Kidd hat with flour all over him.

I don't see how that would make their receipts and purchases identical.

Life is stranger than fiction! Apparently, Claude Allen has an evil twin named Floyd. He must've been using Claude's credit cards and was running this scam in his brother's name! Strange? True? Check out my blog for more info.

oops, commented on the wrong post above. But then I am only one man, not one of two evil twins.

And a sorry man at that.

You might have set up a new way of talking about the evil twin issue.

No, you haven't. Don't listen to that stupid, fucking Helmut.
