Japanese "Cool Biz costumes" and global warming

Japanese news tends to fall under the radar for Americans now that Japanese corporations are no longer buying up US golf courses. But here's one of Koizumi's more interesting and amusing proposals to help solve global warming. 'Cool Biz' dress code spreads through halls of promotion. It's the way Japanese businesspeople dress! Fewer ties and suits and more mirthful sporty sunshine shirts will help reduce air conditioning and thus greenhouse gas contributions. This is an advance over the "Energy-Saving Look" of the late 70s, and factories are jumping into production of "Cool Biz."
