AMLO: "Same cat, different color"

Here's Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador--the frontrunner for Mexico's Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) presidential candidacy--speaking to a big crowd in Celaya, Guanajuato, yesterday. The guy could be the next president of Mexico, but the jury's still out on exactly what that means. For my part, during a couple of weeks in Oaxaca this summer, I tried informally asking folks what they thought of him. Cab drivers and champurrado vendors aren't really forthcoming with goateed gringos (in Trotsky--or Harold Lloyd--glasses) asking about politics, but one senses he might be the next thorn in the side of the U.S. Or maybe not.
