Bretons vs. Brits

Another interesting case of cultural encroachment and property rights. Brits have been buying up property all over France (and Spain) sending property values soaring. One of the main concerns is that traditional French villages are overrun by vacationing Brits who otherwise leave the towns vacant during the work-year. There is indeed a small radical Breton group (Bretagne) that has perennially sought independence (similar to Basques and Corsicans). This is a peculiar case, well worth reading.
