George Weah is the favorite

I have no idea whether this will be good for Liberia, but the great George Weah is the favorite to win the presidential election in Liberia. I think it's probably good. Weah is a good man, and is certainly a hero in a war-ravaged country where any fragment of unity -- such as consensus over a soccer hero -- may be the answer. The alternative candidate is a former World Bank economist who went to Harvard. They've likely had enough of those types telling them what's best for their country.
