A Response to Frist

From dcat, here's Cram on Bill Frist's editorial in today's Chicago Tribune, "Drawing a Line in the Sand." Cram's thoughtful response is much, much more reasonable than Frist's tirade, which gets off to the following rollicking start:

Last week's absurd, unwarranted and disingenuous call for a closed session of the United States Senate sent me a clear message: Many Democrats have decided to mock the Senate's rules in the name of partisan advantage.
