As I wallow in papers and spreadsheets full of test scores, for some reason grading Bush's performance is irresistably fascinating. The 9/11 Commission gives him a 0.88 average. That's not 88%, it's 0.88 out of 4.0, or a 22% average. F-!

All of my students are doing better than the president of the US, so far. I don't think they'll think that a consolation.
