Here's an article to start off the day with wonderment: on new species found in a secluded rainforest in the Foja Mountains of Papua province, Indonesia. See especially the accompanying photos on the NY Times page.
Scientists have discovered what amounts to a lost world in an isolated Indonesian jungle, identifying dozens of new species of frogs, butterflies and plants, as well as large mammals that have been hunted to near extinction elsewhere, members of the expedition said Tuesday.Wonderful!
But... also keep in mind that there is an extremely high probability that this could be the very last time you ever hear of such a story....

I would like to clarify that I intended it to be a compliment that you blog apocalpytically.
Anyone who reads your blog and doesn't ponder how we are being hurried along the road towards extinction by the current state of affairs isn't paying enough attention, after all.
