Disorientation

Oh, that's okay. 40% isn't yet cutting into the investor class.
Most American young people can't find Iraq on a map, even though U.S. troops have been there for more than three years, according to a new geographic literacy study released on Tuesday.

Fewer than 4 in 10 Americans aged 18-24 in a survey could place Iraq on an unlabeled map of the Middle East, a study conducted for National Geographic found. Only about one-quarter of respondents could find Iran and Israel on the same map.

Doesn't surprise me a bit. I had lunch with a friend's niece last fall -- she's a sophmore in college -- we were talking about the war in Iraq and she said, "Oh...I thought that war was over."

Yes. A sophmore in college.

Wow. I just can't see how that's even possible in The Age of Media Assault. I mean, wouldn't one at least find out accidentally that there's a war in Iraq?
