Go Ticos!

Today is the day. First up, Germany vs. Costa Rica. This is an expected bomb of a game. But Germany has shown weaknesses in the warm-up friendlies and CR is underestimated. We could have a nice first match on our hands. Poland vs. Ecuador, later in the day, is a toss-up.

And MT sent this link to the Ant World Cup (originally from All Intensive Purposes). Japan vs. Brazil and they tied! If one watches, there's clearly a lack of coaching.

Also, a nice discussion from an email at 3 Quarks Daily. Check out the poop on Ghana. I agree. Everyone focuses on Italy and the Czechs in the US group. But Ghana is a serious threat. The only disagreement I have with the writer is that I would reverse the cases of Italy and the Czech Republic. I think the Czechs advance clearly, and the Italians tank.
