The World Cup makes me wake up differently in the fluidmorning

An observation. Usually, one wakes up by opening one's eyes, having a brief blinking infant-like moment of orienting oneself in the world, and then going through the slow motion of scratching, sitting up, spinning the feet around to the floor, and slow rising.

Today and yesterday I've woken up in one fluid motion: eyes open and the body moves out of bed in one physical motion towards the coffee center and tv putting on its pants as it makes its way through the living room, making coffee as it orients itself in the world (after all, it just rediscovered its sense of self standing at the coffee maker), and trying to remember which game is first. My fluidmorning was interrupted today, however, by getting up half an hour too early.

Yes, Holland.
