Here's how things went at the Barba de Chiva household: late in the 56th minute, our DISH network satellite service was interrupted by a big black cloud. We both yelped. I reached for the remote & switched from Univision to ESPN (different satellite feeds). By the time we'd recovered service less than a minute later, France was up by one.
Nice damned game, though, even if we did have to wait for the post-game highlights to see the goal . . . beauty.
At least you saw what France did the entire rest of the game. The only real threat from Brazil was in the scramble for a goal at the end when speedy youngster Robinho came in.
Basically, it was French football, which I think is the genuine beautiful game when done well - it's beautiful, fun, and classy. We saw that yesterday.
