They just look so much like rocks to me. I guess I don't get around rainforests enough. But I stopped being dubious once I thought of what comes out the business ends of agoutis and other seed dispersers that eat the fruit. You didn't say anything about the fruit issue though.

If they're really what you say, I think I see now why some anglos call the pits of fruit "stones." Those were fruity once, no?
Yes, they're what I say. The one on the left is commonly called "monkey heart." Why the suspicion?
