Catapulting
Nice little post on the uses and abuses of propaganda at Global Guerillas. It occurs to me, reading this, that if we somehow eliminated propaganda from the Bush administration's rhetoric, wouldn't we simply have a giant, smoking crater, the end result of catapulting the propaganda?

No. Catapults do not produce heat or smoke.
Maybe more of an implosion into a mental vacuum. I don't know if this would produce heat and smoke or not. I'll have to do some calculations.

Oh, you would have to take that remark as a nuke scientist. I'm thinking the stone or whatever was catapulted, not the mechanism itself. And I'm thinking a dark gaping hole of nothing. Smoke is for dramatic effect, at least according to the B movies about medieval battles I saw as a kid.
Hmmmm...true...I recall those movies too. I think some had fiery missiles flying off the catapults...I think I even saw that one last year.
I still like the metaphor of an implosion into a mental vacuum. I've just been reading about how stars go nova, and it's something like that.

That's the idea. A black hole of some sort. I just liked the inclusion of fog machines.
