Democrats... sigh....

As so often is the case, progressives are wondering what to do about the Democratic Party. Give up on them? Work real hard to make them better? Back out? Cede the country to the Republicans?

Democrats have accomplished the unthinkable: in a year when the actions of the Bush Administration should have had the Party faithful on fire, the Democratic Party has succeeded in demoralizing its base.
