The Big Divine Against Us
I've been wondering how the person of faith, not just Giuliani but the person who commonly said in 2004 that, despite the growing obviousness of the utter disaster that is this presidency, the continuing vote for Bush was a "matter of faith," answers this question posed at Tiny Revolution:

I was thinking something similar as I listened to President Bush saying his religious words and commending the dead at Virginia Tech over to God's care.
The question, as it always has been, is how that loving God let such a tragedy happen.

Utter disaster? Clearly someone needs to crack open a history book. Supporting the President is a matter of faith, even given his mis-steps on the border and his inability to commit sufficient resources to the Iraq situation.
God doesn't hate America. But, he does seem to have a sense of humor.
