CIA Black Sites

Very good article by Jane Mayer in The New Yorker on the CIA's "black sites." We've talked a lot about torture here in the past (do a keyword search for other posts). The black sites are essentially the extra-legal institutionalization of torture. Note the medical supervision of torture down to the details of charts kept by collaborating doctors for recording particular harms to a prisoner's body and mind. This is systematic, institutionalized torture, and the US is a "torturing nation."
