Breaking news: the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and former US Vice President Al Gore have won the Nobel Peace Prize......for their efforts to build up and disseminate greater knowledge about man-made climate change, and to lay the foundations for the measures that are needed to counteract such change.[Gore-Obama 2008!]

This has got to be one of the best NPP awardings ever.
I agree. Makes one hopeful for the first time in six years.
I would have preferred Evo Morales to get the prize. Not yet another American politician, which, in this case, although conscious of the importance of Global Warming, stops short of accusing the real culprits, perhaps for fear of not getting any more funding from them.
