President Obama's eulogy for Ted Kennedy was just right. Text and video here. I watched the entire funeral this morning; thank you, New York Times for the webcast. Much of it was very moving, particularly the prayers from the younger members of the family.

On health care issue: people are "confused" is a many layered statement.A hegemon likes weak citizens just as it likes weak states but such a state cannot be led strategically when it has no historical knowledge. People are rightly "confused" because the basic moral contradictions between capitalism and a just society are front and center all of a sudden.
