Graph Day Today

Andrew Sullivan gives us some more graphical food for thought:



What I find particularly interesting about this graph is the differential attention given by the press to deaths from the various sorts of drugs. Lots of people die from heroin, morphine, and alcohol, but what gets reported is marijuana, ecstasy, and aspirin, to the extent that more deaths are reported than occur from these drugs.
