What English Sounds Like To Other People

Nonsense words that sound like English to an Italian.

But languages sound different when you don't understand them and when you do. Or at least I found that to be true as I learned Estonian.

Wait...those were nonsense words?

Anyway, that was like transcendental. His phonology was just what you might expect for someone speaking American English learned from pop some place far away: 42% Dylan, 35% Elvis and assorted lesser influences. This is the kind of thing the Web is for--and ultimately will destroy.

I suppose the rejoinder is, "'Fra-gee-lay.' That must be Italian."
