Best Book Meme

It looks like an end-of-year meme is taking hold. So I will join in.

The best book I read all year is Tony Judt's Postwar. Read it.

    The best book I read all year was Moby Dick.

    I'm not a fan of fiction at all, but this year I read two: Moby Dick, and The Road. This is two more fictions than I've read in the previous 5 years combined.

    I can't wait to read MB again... but this time I'm going to read a bio of Melville first. I suspect this book straddles the line between pure 'fiction' and 'non'.
