¡Bachelet!

More good news from Chile:
Michelle Bachelet's path to Chile's presidency has taken her from a dictator's jail cell to East German exile to a stint as the South American country's defense minister.

On Sunday, official election returns indicated that the 54-year-old socialist pediatrician would become Chile's first woman president and continue the leadership of the center-left alliance that has ruled since democracy was restored in 1990.

Will Comandante Marcos boycott her?

Do you think its fair to characterize the response to Morales as a boycott? In any case, I'd think he'd be more likely to turn down a similar invitation from Bachelet, who seems quite cautious compared to Morales . . .
