Kwame Anthony Appiah had an interesting piece in the NY Times Sunday Magazine on cosmopolitan cultural "contamination" that I've been meaning to write something about. Barba and my colleague, Dave Crocker, both urged a read and a write. It's my kind of stuff, so there is something forthcoming, though I have busy times coming up over the next week or two. In the meantime, have a read. Think of it in light of preservation of cultures types of arguments and policies.
I'm headed to France on Tuesday and will be there for a week. The guys will take up some posting duties. But there will generally be light posting next week. Maybe a line or two from France. I'll try to send some photos too -- Paris is such a photogenic city.
