If you haven't already.
Barba -- I did, but I've been having trouble opening it (apart from the first "run Firefox now"). I've tried changing security settings, everything. But the only way I can open it is reinstalling the damn thing every time. Finally went back and reinstalled the earlier version, which works fine. Just a note... either I'm doing something wrong or the new version has some bugs.

That's weird. You're running what, Windows? There's nothing about it in the "known issues." Did you post a bug report?
Damn, lost my long-ish explanation. I tried the FAq and troubleshooting. No luck. I'm running XP.
I figure it's that I've downloaded various extensions which are not yet updated and Firefox is trying to run with the extensions. Not sure. I also have a massive security system on the computer via the university and this constantly causes me problems (due to my ignorance of how it all works) when I want to hook up from elsewhere. Could be something there too. I'll have my tech guy take a look.
I donwloaded the Firefox update again from within the older version's "check for downloads" and that worked. I had had trouble when I downloaded the installation program to the desktop and then tried to run it....
