Bad World Series

Not only bad, but one of the worst I've seen. That sucked. A mediocre St. Louis team beat a somewhat (supposedly) superior Detroit team because Detroit couldn't do what Little Leaguers are trained immediately to do.

Ick. Thanks a bunch Detroit and St. Louis for giving us a pointless display.

Really. I think any two teams that lose six out of their last regular season games should be barred from the playoffs. Kansas City could have won this thing. Dull as dumplings, this thing. Of course, I suppose the game is made a bit more difficult when you have to knock the ice off the bats and balls before you can play...

I bet Detroit will be practicing its throws to third base during the off-season.

I recently saw an online survey somewhere that asked whether you would watch a Sunday World Series game or the regular NFL slate. When I looked, it was about 75%-25% in favor of the NFL. The National Pastime isn't in NHL/NBA territory yet, but it's heading there.....
